Embankment refers to the part of Central London, just south of Charing Cross, that runs along on the River Thames. It is also known as Victoria Embankment. Embankment tube station is on the District, Circle, Bakerloo and Northern lines. Hungerford bridge, a footbridge, leads to the south bank of the river. There is also a pier where you can catch riverboat services.
