Our beautiful park is paid for and run by the community – it’s all ours. We want it to be a place that everyone in Heeley treasures, that people visit from outside our neighbourhood and that shows everyone what Heeley is made of. That’s why we have big plans, for a permanent stage, for more places to play, boulder and bike, relax and gather. One day, we’d even like a café. But these are things we can only achieve if the residents and the businesses of the area get together and give. In fact, if we don’t give, we lose it altogether – just keeping the park as it is costs £45,000 each year.
