One of a number of forts built in the 1850s and 1860s to protect Portsmouth and its harbour against a French invasion. Largely unaltered, the parade ground, gun ramps and moated keep can be viewed.
Before You Go Opening times : Fort Brockhurst is open from 11am to 3pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month between April and October. Parking : The car park is 60 metres from the fort entrance. Car parking is available on site with a £2 charge for
