The Sands Centre provides a first-class entertainment, leisure and swimming facilities on a single site in the heart of Carlisle.As a charitable, social enterprise and working in partnership with Carlisle City Council, our first floor, 100+ station gym offers various fitness zones for cardio, strength, resistance training and a Group Cycle studio. Our two dedicated Group Exercise studios run classes from Pilates to Combat to Circuits. The eight-lane, 25m swimming pool suits both fitness and recreational swimmers, as well as adult Swim Doctor lessons. The four-lane 20m pool offers a moveable floor which is home to our Better Swim School and hosts our popular Water Workout fitness classes. Our Upstairs Bar can be used as a premium conference facility and is available to hire or why not relax in our Café and enjoy a barista style coffee and sweet treat or healthy snack.
